    looks great, i have planted a fair few blackwoods rekon ill be 90 before they get to that size.
    its only short one end!!

    I do have one more question in relation to Blackwood. On this site Wongo was building a TAS Blackwood chest of draws and the grain flows looks different with not as many colours. From where was this Blackwood harvested?

    This was harvested on the sunshine coast near Beerwah.....an area rich in Blackwood......people think that Blackwood only occurs in Tasmania or Victoria...Queensland ,has in fact areas where it grows fairly prolific....probably wrong to be calling it 'Tasmanian Blackwood',as it grows all over this great country....'Australian Blackwood" is a more appropriate name...

    The kitchen cabinets in a house we used to live in were made from blackwood and looked just like the logs in Mapleman's original post. (Colour that is; not shape!)

    Hi Rob...just for stock...will be milling alot of Blackwood over the next few months...one fellow is 1300mm plus girth(it will be fiddleback through-out)....will post more pics of milling soon...
