Milling package for sale
As I've said previously, I've moved and will no longer be doing any milling. I was going to continue doing mobile work, but in the end I've decided to focus on the CNC and joinery work.
That means I have a few bits and pieces for sale, including the mill, a couple of Shindaiwa saws and the crane truck (possibly, I haven't made a final decision about the truck).
The mill is a Lucas 8-27 with a separate dedicated slabber, side-shift winder, weatherboard attachment, six blades and two re-tipping jigs, as well as a hundred or so tips and a few lengths of silver solder to stick them on with. One of the forum members has expressed some interest, but has not committed to it as yet, so I've said I'll hold for a couple of weeks. I'm asking $11500 firm for the mill and all accessories. It has around 200-250 hours on it and has always been properly maintained as a principal piece of equipment for my business.
The saws are a Shindaiwa 488 and a 757. The 488 has a 18" bar and the 757 has a 24" bar. Both are in excellent condition and have never worked hard, only having been used for docking logs, not for falling work or firewood docking. They didn't have to do much of that once I got the loppers properly trained, so neither saw has more than about 20 hours on it and they're freshly serviced. I'm open to offers on them. Say around $300 for the 488 and around $600 for the big one would be close I'd reckon. That's about half new price.
The crane truck is a Mitsubishi FK415 with an Atlas 10t rated crane on it, in good nick, although it's currently out of test. The suspension is brand new - it was rebuilt by Carroll's suspension less than a year ago and had an extra leaf added to each corner as well. They reckon it would happily carry 8 tonnes, although I've never tested that. It's rated at 10400kg gross, but can be easily uprated with a compliance plate to gross another tonne. It tares at 6000kg nearly exactly. The engine is a bit smoky but runs very well and the crane is a really mighty machine. I'm looking for $10k for the truck. It has 2 new steer tyres and 4 good tyres on the drive axle. If anyone wants a package to go milling, this is it. I'm sure we can come to an agreement if you're after the lot.
The truck and the saws have GST payable, but the mill doesn't.
If this is in the wrong place mods, please move it.Cheers,
Craig

Looks like everything is sold, folks. Thanks for the interest.
Itsposs, the CNC is a Shopbot PRT alpha, with a bed 1.5 x 3.6. I've seen the woodwizz for surfacing and it looks pretty good. Doing edge treatments with it would be pretty easy, I reckon.Cheers,

Thanks Nifty, yeah I'll be about. After all this time the place is a part of everyday checking in. I'm sure there's still lots I can learn from the smarties who seem to frequent the place .

Well, the milling package is still for sale, despite a couple of tyre-kickers wasting everyone's time.
If you want it, email me. I'll be putting it up on Ebay, as I should have done in the first place. I really don't know why I bothered putting it up here, the same thing happens every time.Cheers,
Craig

I apolagize that my Ute an boat havent sold Exador I ve comunicated with you to let you know whats going on. I ve also said to you if some one comes up with the cash first take it I dont want to leave you losing cash. I cant get finance for a truck over 10 years old I ve tried , in redgards to the lucas mill an a mill is better then no mill. So if that makes me a tyre kicker an a story teller in your eye s so be it.
