Milling large sections
Hey guys
Any help in the following matter would be really good
I am in the process of designing/building a garage.
The plans have been drawn up and a DA approved, the garage is going to be on poles, bearers and joists as its on a large slope.
I am milling the timber myself and the bearers, joist and possible framing will be unseasoned, I am after any info on construction methods and any ways to cope with shrinkage.
Should I just build it as normal and hope it all shrinks at the same rate.
Also the joist will be 200x50 and the bearers are going to be at least 300x100.
Any info would be a great help
Thanks
