Portamill lttle ripper
The Warragul Woodworkers Club have a little ripper made by Portamill in Queensland. At present we have a problem keeping the blade on as soon after it starts into the timber it comes off the wheels. Despite adjusting etc this still happens. Has any one experienced this and what was the solution?
Two other questions - do Portamill still exist? Does anyone know a contact no if the are still around. Thanks for your help

I've just purchased one of these mills in North West Tasmania and am about to embark on a restoration. Wondering if there are any of them still operating anywhere as they were originally designed or if they have been up graded in some way. I need to replace the beam and I'm trying to decide if I'll stay with it as was or go to a more conventional style with rails on the ground....
