Default Any recommendation for a mobile mill operator - eastern suburbs Melbourne

    Hi

Can anyone recommenced a mobile mill operator or someone with a chainsaw mill in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

We have a 50 year old oak tree which is soon to be removed as the possums have ring barked too many large branches.
The diameter of the usable trunk is 70 cm and there is about 5 meters of usable trunk.

I would like to use the timber for some future projects but am unsure if milling the tree is a viable option.

If access is good for a crane truck, I’d recommend getting it picked up and taken to Premier Timber in Millgrove.

Whereabouts in the eastern suburbs are you?

Private Message me if that is viable for you and I can give you the numbers of the mill and crane truck
    Cheers

Unfortunately no access for a crane truck, so onsite is the only viable option

Had the log milled by Paul McKay using his Lucas Mill.
We ended up with some very nice boards which should make some nice furniture once dry.
Would highly recommend Paul to anyone requiring a mobile milling service. Paul is the master franchisee for Jim's Milling Service and is passionate about saving quality logs from becoming firewood.
