    Default Small Red Cedar log

Here's a small Red Cedar log milled a few weeks ago for a friend
Flaky bark indicated that even though small, it my have had quite a tough life growing.
    Surprisingly nice colour too...MM

    Thanks for your reply Roy
The thing I love about freshly cut Red Cedar is the aroma...nothing like it.
As much as I love Qld Maple, there is something very distinct and special about Red Cedar
Even in their growing form they often host many orchids and ferns upon the branches and bole
    Totally awesome species IMO...MM

I guess i am pretty lucky got a 30 footer growing in the backyard and there's no way it will be coming down.Only have to go up into the scrub and their everywhere some truly magnificent specimens.Definitely my favourite tree.
