I had this pile of recycled redgum posts sitting around & wanted to split them down the middle .
so i made a jig & cut them using my lucas .
    they started off as 1700 x 170 x 120 & now i have of furniture grade redgum.

    Hey Bunta,

very interested in your re-sawing jig - good job. i didn't consider a vertical cut to re-saw, expected you would do a horizontal cut. BUT this would leave the little step between successive cuts and also give you a problem with holding onto the cut off piece too I suppose.

    Good thinking

Do you reckon you could do something similar so that the outside face also gets trimmed back to fresh timber - might be too hard...
I love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!
    Allan.
