    Default Tiger Myrtle

    I cut these Tiger Myrtle blocks today. Its a little hard to see in these pics but the patterning is really nice. I will plane them up tomorrow and post some more photos.

    I will be selling some of them soon. They are pretty dry. I sealed the ends with wax already so hopefully splitting will be minimal.

    Very nice ........just don't do what old PTC used to do with his winter pile of Tassie Blackwood post pics and then burn it to keep warm.

    Finished planing up the blocks from the weekend. This one is approx. 390mm x 70mm x 140mm to give an idea of size, one of the smaller ones and my fave.

    Jealous mate! Just flaming jealous, is all I can say. Only hope you don't have every blimmen greenie in the state on the warpath to hang,draw and quarter you for cutting up a nice bit of wood.
    Been down here in Tas since about 87 and woodworking most of that time. Tiger myrtle is the one wood that I have never had in my workshop. Had lots of burl myrtle but the tiger grain is by far the rarest.
