Trees to be removed
Greetings
I have about 20 trees near Goulburn on my hobby farm [rural block] to be removed.
Normally I would get a bulldozer to knock them over and pile high.
Wait a few years and burn.
I have no desire to burn again.
The trees are I think Iron bark.
varying diameters nothing too straight I guess around 20 to 30 years old.
They are not one long trunk
A guy down the road suggested someone might be interested in milling with chain saw.
Hmm my thinking they are not big logs like I see one member has milled.
Was thinking of hiring a big mulcher and pile very high.
To burn as fire wood would be good but they take a few years at least to dry.
I have no shortage of fire wood.
May take some pictures.
Thoughts and suggestions.
Cheers
Pulpo

If you cant fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem...

sounds like an overniter, depending on diameter it would be worth milling - If they are over 450mm thru or 1300mm around (at chest height) then it's worth milling over 600 in diameter then its definately worth milling and even consider slabbing

i would cut em down then pick out the worth while trunks debark them and stack those for when they are needed ( posts rails stays ) then pile up the rest and burn in 12 months or so .

Don't forget if you plan on milling them paint the ends with anything that will seal the end grain (old house paint works well - and is cheap)
