    Agreed. More of a quirky prediction and the result of transposing the years (1948/1984). Predictions for 2047 anyone?

    Genetically modified trees that incorporate state of the art cameras perhaps?

    Interesting essay. TV and cameras he is saying, in effect, have become "Big Brother."

    I have not seen the film and read the book when I was a child. I can hardly remember the detail. I might have to re-read it.
