John, Sunday mornings seem to be variable - sometimes they start quietly, sometimes with a rush. If it's convenient for you to be there earlier, it might be very handy to have some help. On the other hand, we may be twiddling our thumbs for a while, you just don't know 'til the day.....
Cheers,IW

OK Steve, you're in.
Only 2 more sleeps to go, so here's what the final roster looks like: TWWWS roster 2016 final.pdf

Draw prizes
OK, looks like we've got as many volunteers as we're going to get, 15 in all.
And here's what I'm putting up as lucky-dip prizes for the first two names out of the hat (or Forum cap ) on Sunday afternoon:
1. Luke & I had a fun day yesterday, making a couple of pencil gauges from some Dead Finish he'd acquired on his travels. They turned out tolerably-well. This one is for the first name out of the hat: pencil gauge.jpg
2. The next name out can take this little carcase saw home. saw.jpg
It was the first saw I made more or less from scratch. It isn't quite as 'professional' as I can do now, but it's quite a good little saw & I think it needs a good home rather than just sitting in a drawer. I've sharpened it & polished up the brasswork and it's sawing pretty well (12tpi xcut)...
See you all over the weekend,
Cheers,IW

Well hope it all goes well up there.
And remember if we want a wood show turn up!!
And who ever wins Ian's tools will be very happy they are fantastic tools.
I have one of his saws and it's my second favourite saw, Ian knows what I mean.
Cheers Matt

OK folks, I went over to the RNA & set up as best I could this afternoon. We are on F15 or F16, I couldn't figure out which was supposed to be which, since they are back to back & neither is labelled on the booth itself. It's pretty much directly opposite the main entrance, but on the far side, in front of the first door out to where the sawmills & stuff are. From the front entrance, dodge around Carbatec and sidle past McJing's and you should be looking right at the booth behind us (dunno who that is yet, because they hadn't started setting up by the time I left (3PM).
Our 'booth' is pretty basic, and we only have two chairs so far, but the organiser man promised to try & give us a bit more wall, so we might end up with something resembling an alcove like we usually have (where we can store our stuff & you can dump your goodies while you go out hunting for more). They hadn't hooked up the power by the time I finished, so I'll get in super early in the morning & do the final preparation then.
But we're more or less ready to roll...
Cheers,IW

Hi Ian,
I will also be in at the show as early as I can tomorrow (maybe 10.45), depending on how long my morning meeting drags on, so will be able to help out if there is a big crowd. I would like to offer a couple of pieces of Crows Ash 50 x 50 (approx.) by 450 to add to your door prizes. Would make a couple of nice salt & pepper grinders or some lovely chisel handles. I'll bring them with me. They are similar to some I sold on the marketplace last week.
