    Default EFTPOS fail at WWW Sydney 2015

    Just a heads up for those of you going to the WWW Show this weekend - take cash if possible.

    The on site connections for EFTPOS machines is causing big problems, something like less than 10% of transactions are going through. One salesman told me on Friday that he personally had had over $2000 in sales just walk away even though his stand was offering the same prices after the show for those customers who couldn't get their cards to process. Multiply that by the number of sales staff on the stand and I can see why some people are not happy.

    And it wasn't just one stand or bank having the problems, it seemed to be universal. There is another show on in the Dome hall as well which may be sucking up the bandwidth or it may be the hall is stopping the signal.

    Just an update. This was a problem with the Commonwealth bank.

    Not with the building.

    The system is working normally now.

    We had the same problem on Friday with the Commonwealth Bank at Bunnings in Lismore, they just got me to sign instead of putting the PIN in.

    Two different places worked with eftpos today. One westpac one commbank I believe
