    Default Name Badges

    Hi Dave,
I noticed last year that we did not have name badges when manning the booth. Have been filling in time waiting for BIL to deliver parts to repair chainsaw and came up with this design.

If you think it is appropriate, I can do one for each member who will be manning the booth.

If members let me have thier details, I will make up the badges and arrange to meet up with you before the forum opens and give them to you.

    Regards

    Bob

That looks really cool Bob. I like it. Neil aka Ubeaut has an 'official' badge off the forum we can print off. As it is his stand it would be his call but i like what you have done. Id proudly wear one

I had one Bob and I have only manned the stand last year. I wonder if Groggy recycled one (some green on it) from a previous year for me?

OOPS missed that. Don't want to upset the 'boss', so better use the 'official badge'.

Took a bit of searching but found it this morning - probably should have looked there in the first place. The post is closed to 'members only'. If you are having trouble finding it, look under "Forum and Members Help > Special Deals ....."

Unless the Forum Stand is manned properly this year, it may not be available to us in future years.

    Dave, Just a thought:

Would it be worth posting on the woodturners and metal workers forums for volunteers as opposed to just this forum?

If you are desparate for someone on Saturday afternoon I will help out, but don't put me down at the expense of another member.

Come on guys, it is not an difficult task - Dave and I shared a 2 hour shift last year and met a number of fellow members - maybe do as Dave did and bring along a piece of your own work to show off!!

    It could be an idea.

I was thinking of bringing my treadle lathe this year

Might be worth a shot but a lot of the turners will be at Phillip Island.

The banner ad for volunteers has been on the top of every page in the forum for quite a while, but that does not mean that a separate post might get a few more bums on seats.

I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.
