Apart from the dates and the Melbourne location are there any other "big" changes?

Hi,
I hope they do some big publicising, because all the magazines have the old dates and they only changed their site today.
May be it will bring the events to the notice of more people this year.

thats at least an improvement
Well I have to say i am happy with that. I would rather it be back at the showgrounds. Caulfield is on the wrong side of the bridge, but at least it is accessible.
I cannot understand the rationale of moving it to Jeff's Shed in the first place. That was just a monumental disaster.
Now I just need to rearrange a few things for the date change and all will be good
Cheers
Doug

It is on the wrong side of town for me also but it is a good venue with easy access from the train.
I have been there several times for the Model Railway Exhibition.Tom

It is now on Impressive Exhibitions Website http://impressiveexhibitions.com.au/...melbourne.html
Free parking at the racecourse! From previous experience I see no problem taking the trailer there either.
On the Downside, I just got an email newsletter from Chris Vesper. He will be on tour in the UK and US in September, so he will not be there this year. But I can always catch up with Chris at some of the other events he exhibits at in Melbourne.
I hope the date change does not catch any other exhibitors unaware. It is the diversity brought to the show by the smaller exhibitors that make the show what it is.
Cheers

Yep issatree! on the same weekend as DUTA. I for one will not be going to the T&WWS. I'll find somewhere else to spend my loose change

I Wonder If ???
Hi Again,
I dare say it is almost impossible to shift DUTA.
Most likely a sealed time slot now.
You never know your luck.
I'll bet the Wood Show loses out on this one ???.Regards,
issatree.

I know of a Kiwi who has booked flight to come to DUTA!

Well I guess that will be a minimum 100-150 or more regular, staunch, 2-3 day attendees who won't be going to the Show this year.
As well as the Kiwi(s), Guilio has organised for at least one Yank turner to come to DUTA as well. Theo Haralampou was also talking about coming but looks like that isn't going to happen now either as I guess he'll be demonstrating at the T&WWWShow instead.
This was to have been our 26th year of Timber and Working With Wood Show in Melb but U-Beaut will be out of this one and any future ones that fall on the same weekend as Down Under Turnaround or any other long established event that the show organisers see fit to go up against.
This could be a shot in the arm for the shows but from where I stand it looks to me like they may have shot themselves in the foot instead.
Neil
PS As one of the longest time exhibitors and staunchest supporters of the shows it would have been nice to have received some sort of correspondence or at least a heads up about this before it appeared out of the blue.KEEP A LID ON THE GARBAGE...
