Is a slow start.
Meaning we are going to have a big run at the end.
Do I need to start blackmailing people.

No need to blackmail me - I will be there but still have to sort out a couple of other commitments.

We may have to go fishing if we don't have enough to man the stand.
I am learning, slowley.

Come on Melbourne area forum members, it's time to step up & be counted...
Come on Melbourne area forum members, it's time to step up & be counted...
The shows are a great way to meet folk off the forum, putting names & faces together and starting to network with like minded people.... .
All your doing is say "G'DAY" to the show patrons and offering them a flyer about the forum "AND IT'S ALL FREE" is the best catch to start a conversation.....

Here is the updated roster. We still have a lot of spots to fill. We have a coordinator for each day, Thanks Simplicity and Pagie, but they need helpers. And of course thanks to all the volunteers so far.
I know Tom (Chesand) is still determining his availability but we need more.
Two weeks ago Ubeaut posted the bit I quoted below. I reckon if we do not see more support this week he might just pull the pin on the whole thing.
Crowie is not even from Melbourne and he is helping us talk it up. Thanks Crowie. Any chance of coming down for a shift or two?

I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Doug
Put me down for a couple of hours on the Saturday - preferably two separate hours but I will fit in with whatever works.
There must be more who are available. Come on, put your hands up or don't complain when there is no Forum stand in the future.Tom

Thanks to the new volunteers - Justonething and Egress, and of course to Chesand, who has done it once or twice before.
Do not forget you get free entry into the show on the day you volunteer. If you want to come two days or even three that is ok. Just put yourself down for an hour each day you want to attend.
There are quite a few stalwarts from previous years who are conspicuous by their absence. Please do not leave it till the last minute. Neil will be deciding soon if there is enough support to go ahead with it this year. What would the wood show be like without the forum stand? It is our own little haven we can return to for a rest, skite with each other about our purchases and generally just catch up.
Here is the updated roster. just click on it to make it bigger. For those with bad eyes like mine, click on the bigger image and it gets bigger again.
