OK everyone, we still need volunteers for last shift on Saturday and much of Sunday afternoon!
If you've not been involved before GIVE IT A GO THIS YEAR!
All you are required to do is be at the table at the front of the stand and tell passers-by of the benefits of being on the forum . It is also the homing point for many existing forum members so you will get to meet many people that you currently only know by their posts? Another benefit, particularly on Sunday afternoon, is having many eyes all over the show, spotting sales, specials and giveaways that you might miss yourself.
Being on the stand really is FUN and you will benefitting the forum, other forum members AND yourself!

We need a computer / laptop or similar to run the powerpoint presentation on the stand.

Unfortunately the one two I have that would usually be there are both out of commision, well one's bung and the other is being used so there isn't one to go to the show.

We will have the big monitor and cables at the show just need a brain to attach it to.
There is security cable to keep it safe from being nicked.

If anyone can help out with this, could you please contact Shane (Shanesmith80) via PM and let him know.

Would be wise to set up a new login on the computer to protect any info you don't want to be seen by others.

    Cheers - Neil
Can you use a usb on the screen for a slide sow presentation

And if pigs could fly we would not need to give them squad cars.

    Default The beginning is nigh.....

First of all, many thanks to ubeaut because, without him and Mrs ubeaut, there would be no stand and indeed, no forum! Luckily he makes a bloody good product and that makes it even easier to support him and the forum by using and recommending those products.
The Woodshow starts in Sydney tomorrow, our stand has been set up and the picture below shows who did the work AND overcomes his aversion to selfies.

    Many thanks Shane!
Now for the housekeeping issues AND FAQ
    • There are NO coffee nor tea making facilities in our stand
    • The volunteers do have access to the exhibitors lounge to make coffee BUT the lounge is small and there are many exhibitors so I would recommend you either purchase coffee/tea at the VERY nearby cafe or bring a thermos ( thermii?)
    • volunteers do get free entry! If you are on the roster, ring either myself or Shane tomorrow and Shane (only) on Saturday and Sunday to get your pass at the door for entry as per Shane's earlier post
    • we don't have an enclosed area this year so don't presume that, like me in prior years, you can store your booty in the tent while looking for more!
    • Theo, the master turner, is directly opposite our stand and Terry and Colen, the master toolmakers are just through our (flimsy!) back curtain
    • It will be a great weekend, the timber prices in particular look VERY attractive!

    Avagoodweegend!
