It should be a great weekend weatherwise. I must remember to visit the hole in the wall on my morning walk tomorrow just in case I spy a bargain or three at the show and need some cash!

    Not long to go now.

Luckily Al, there was an ATM immediately inside the front door of the second hall

As it turned out, I remembered to visit the hole in the wall on my morning walk, especially for Trend Timbers who ended up with about half of it so that I could wander home with a Rikon 1" belt / disc sander. Absolutely ideal for toy making, only problem is working out where to put it in the shed. Trend have only recently become agents for Rikon, and haven't updated their website as yet, but the sander is this one - https://www.rikontools.com/product/50-151

I also had to buy another toy wheel cutter from Carb-I-Tool for the wood club, but they didn't have any in stock at the show or back at the factory.
As luck would have it, Auntie Chris managed to find one on a Brisbane based saw blade supplies stand, Combined Saw & Knife who make bandsaw blades & sharpen circular saws etc.. Chatting with the owner, it turned out that they only included a few router bits as a 'just in case' scenario as Carb-I-Tool would have their comprehensive stand. Lucky for me, I ended up with the router bit, and they ended up with some cash and some space in their container going back up to Brisbane.

I enjoyed the show which was bigger than last years, with the addition of another hall to house displays by school students and more vendors. Don't forget to visit the guys with the sawmills and the knife makers who are located on the railway side of the main hall.

It was nice to chat with members of this forum, vendors and demonstrators that I have come to know over the years, plus bumping in to one of my old neighbours who has moved over 100k south.

A good day out, still trying to decide whether to go back on Sunday for another look.

    Thanks Crowie.
I was wondering if you got the Tongue drum finished.
My two year old grand daughter still finds her drum amongst other toys and plays it.

Good to see you briefly Fletty. Thanks for the pics........but I guess I better upgrade my uniform.
And thanks for buying one of my drum kits.
Enjoy making your figured Purpleheart tongue drum. That timber is very pretty.

I think most of my Sunday sales were to fellow exhibitors. Including a couple of contra deals.
