A family member was diagnosed and treated for bowel cancer - got the all clear.

Then one day after episodes of slight confusion etc she has a seizure and wakes up hours later, crawls to bed (doesn't ring anyone) her daughter rings, and gets her mum to hospital, finds out she has a brain tumor.(secondary)

Goes to her oncologist and asks why didn't you scan for secondaries in my brain - reply "In Australia there is not a lot of secondaries in the brain from bowel cancer".

Summary - if you or a loved one develop any of the above cancers please make sure they scan all over for secondaries, the tumor was the size a bit smaller than a golf ball.

The member has to have her whole skull treated with Radiotherapy, we are all so angry with the oncologist, so please ask them all the questions you can, and do your home work.
