Took the new meds for the first time on Thursday.
7 hours sleep on thursday night and 8 hours last night and only got up twice to do to dunny.
This morning resting heart rate down from 105 to 75-80!!!!
Worked for an hour in the shed this morning and then (more out of habit than tiredness) decided to have a rest - lay on bed for 5 minutes but thought - I don't need this, besides too eager to get on with a project so back into the shed.
    Starting to feel much better

    Thanks Derek.
The down side is that SWMBO has a big list of TODOs for me to tackle.
Oh well - I'd much rather be busy with the than laying around moping about what's wrong with me now.

Good to hear Bob. What meds changed?

A BP med and one that make me pee sugar.
Both the originals were prescribed by my GP about 2 years ago.
The new ones are more suited to my particular symptoms and blood test results.

Were you taking by any chance one of the newer SGLT2 inhibitors?

GREAT on the meds, and I don't know if you've seen american football, but see if you can run the ball for a while and give your mrs. the stiff arm!!

My mrs often likes to claim my whole day when i'm not doing work over the weekend and am feeling well, but about halfway through the day, I give her the (figurative) stiff arm and tell her I'll mark my stop on the list and start there next time.

Had my latest blood test results back.

Calcium is back up, DANG! as are my ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) levels which are an indication of increasing activity of my sarcoidosis.

My ACE are still just inside "high normal" but considering they were just inside "low normal" two months ago this is not a good sign. This is consistent with increased tiredness (and lack of enthusiasm) I've been experiencing in the last couple of weeks - thought it was the grandy baby-sitting .

Just waiting for the doc to determine if my cortisone does needs increasing - I was hoping the results would allow me a decrease but that won't be happening.

Morning blood sugars still good. I'm going to reduce my diary intake an go back to coconut based yoghurt which I like more than milk based but it's a lot more expensive unless I make it although it still comes out more expensive than milk based yoghurt.

Yep, had another blood test and my Ca and Ace levels are still up so specialist said restart the higher doses of Cortisone and Pacquenil, and Blood tests every two weeks. I started taking the higher doses early on Tuesday and felt extra pumped for about an hour but then had to start Baby sitting duties and I was worn out in about an hour. Fortunately the grandies left by 1:30 pm so was able have a long nap. Yesterday was not too bad - 3 cat naps got me through the day. Also night time sleep is OK as long as I taken the meds early in the morning (~5:30am) which is usually when I get up.

Had another scan and blood tests last week and caught up with the specialist yesterday.

Scan shows Sarcoidosis is reduced in most places - some spots in bones and joints have completely disappeared, slight increase in activity around the aorta but doc reckons its probably just the same as last time.
Consistent with this is my ACE blood markers are down
    OTOH
Blood Ca is up so back to restricted Ca in the diet, no milk, cheese or milk based yoghurt.

No change in meds unfortunately but I reckon I am slowly getting used to them and also sleeping OK so that's something I supposed.

I'm normally knocked around by the hear but this December we're averaging 6.5ºC above average so it is really knocking me about especially if I try to do anything outside when its over about 30º
