medicinal maryjane
With the missus suffering from R.A (its a terrible affliction ends up being bone on bone with so many joints) and another family member with her third brain tumour l have asked both of them have they considered Medicinal cannabis - but alas they have a preconceived idea that they will be ostracized by friends, society etc, that they are totally unwilling to give it a go, there are a few stories on the net about success stories, that l believe they have nothing to lose, just try it and see!
l was told a story of a local bloke, who was diagnosed with cancer (not sure what area) and he said ^%$& it, l'm going out with a bang, so he hit the hooter and home made spirits and 12 months later he had the all clear, haven't spoike to the bloke
personally but look out when l do, l'll be picking his grey and white matter (if there's any left) till the cows come home.
He is still alive today, slightly pickled but alive none the less!
Cutting to the chase has anyone tried or thinking of trying the above?
Regards
Stevo

I have a family member who got so fed up with being on the medical bandwagon with no success for many years. In and out of hospital etc.
In desperation this person went the cannabis route, and has not looked back.
Having seen the difference myself, I would encourage your wife to seriously consider it.

I see great things to come with the many trials that are taking place, I wouldn't worry about what others think,

Marijuana does not cure cancer. I don't believe there is any evidence it cures or treats any disease. Smoking is a risk factor for cancer.
Marijuana may have a role in pain relief and control of nausea. Good quality studies are lacking.
Often quoted in the media is stuff about seizures. Evidence is poor and mixed. Some studies suggest a decrease in seizures, some suggest an increase in seizures.

I would love to try this stuff, curiously even though it is illegal it is available over the internet. What worries me is the cost, $395 for 10ml. Trials are not complete so the efficacy can't be guaranteed; still, anything is worth a try.

A bit hesitant to comment since my username is my actual name (Hi Mom), but I agree it's worth a shot. The docs will prescribe all kinds of chemical crap that could have horrible aide effects or be addictive. The only side effects of MJ are Doritos...
It's been legal in several US states for a while now. If it were only being abused by people with fake back pain they would've put a stop to it. People are having life-changing results. That said, I'm sure some people aren't being helped at all, and are just enjoying the Doritos.
Good luck,
Luke

It does not have to smoked for medicinal purposes. Like Luke I have to be a bit circumspect, a family member now deceased had good results from eating it in biscuits and certainly made life for her more bearable. For anyone who has a weak appetite and needs to eat more it also has positive results.

How high?
Medical cannabis has very low levels of THC so whilst you could probably get high on it it would probably take a trailer load to get you there.

Certainly effective for treating nausea and an effective muscle relaxant
Still regarded as a relatively 'soft' drug unlike ALCOHOL!
If it can provide relief for those folk that are suffering physically i can't see a problem
Yes it is a DRUG but wisely used could be a very effective treatment for a variety of ailments...MMMapleman
