Default Upholsterer Adelaide and advsice on chair

Hello,

I recently purchased this chair, part of a 3 piece set purchased as I love it and wanted to give it a new life.

I have never reupholstered and had a few quotes that vary by $1000 per chair! But I will still like to go ahead, why should this go to landfill!

My question is, recommendations for a good but reasonable upholsterer in Adelaide as I am on a strict budget.

Also, french polish to arms and legs to original or paint modern black?

Many Thanks

Try here very good quality work http://www.jamesclassic.com.au/ and yes refinish the timber black would ruin it, I would not french polish it as it is not durable, use a modern durable finnish.
