Farewell to Rocky
Lost my mate this morning. Rocky was only 6 but diagnosed with lymphoma 6 weeks ago. He was put on steriods to keep him going long enough for my daughter get back from her holiday in Europe.
He lasted well and we enjoyed the extra time as much as we could but he lost the battle this morning. At least the last day went quickly without any pain and he drifted off in my sons arms as we drove to the vets.
He was such a great dog, so well tempered and just loved everyone.
We will miss him heaps.
Benny
PS Sorry, just had to get it out.

Real sorry to read that Benny. It's the hardest thing to lose a member of the family. Sincerest sympathies to all your family.

That's the hardest realisation of it, but the joy you have in the meantime is knowing that a dog will love you no matter what and will return that love back to you.

At least he went peacefully and I didn't have to hold him as the vet put him down, he would have hated that.

The steroids were great as they bought him back to us so we could spoil him rotten.
