    One of my favourite timbers of all time...Australian Blackwood
    When quarter sawn and figured...it is outstanding...MM

    This Blackwood incidentally was sourced and milled on the Sunshine Coast,South East Queensland.
    Provenance Cedarton.
    The tree wasn't huge but bole was around 85cm d.b.h.
    Was growing in an open paddock situation and would have been quite slow growing.
    The area around Cedarton/Maleny/Bellthorpe supports a good population of Acacia Melanoxylon
    And the quality of the timber is second to none...MM

    Hey scuzyboy glad you like the Blackwood.No longer for sale though...the widest pieces in the pics are around 210mm wide from memory...glorious stuff!...MM
