I am looking for Red Gum Slabs?
I am in Melb so would like get names of timber yards if anyone knows any?
I am after 3-4m x 1m x 75mm (all approx) with 'stumps' that can be made into legs. All this is for an outdoor table.

Dig deep and be prepared to throw in an arm and a couple of legs. That stuff 'aint cheap.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Hi,
Up in Daylesford there is a small scale timber mill run by some ethical millers. They source their timber from farms, road clearances and gardens. They have very good prices, I bought one beautiful slab a year ago, full of fiddleback.
I have bought off them before and reckon that they have some of the best prices and quality that I have seen. A huge range of timbers, including Redgum, cedar, Blackwood, cal Redwood.
They have a lot of slabs plus boards. Worth giving them a call and drop in on a weekend. Take a trailer with you because I don’t think you will come back empty handed.

Good luck,
