    Default Australia's Extraordinary Rainforest Timbers.

    I can strongly recommend listening to this ABC Radio National program about our rainforest timbers.
    Australia's extraordinary rainforest woods - Off Track - ABC Radio National (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
    It is mostly an interview with Morris Lake who has also written a wonderful book about rainforest timbers called, "Australian Rainforest Woods". This is for anyone who has a love for our Austrlian timbers and would like to know some of their characteristics. Perhaps I think there could have been some other species included but that is just a personal thing.

    Thanks for the link Bob. Morris is a mountain of knowledge when it comes to trees. We are lucky and spoilt in Old as he, and other very knowledgeable like Ken Jackson mentioned in the soundtrack, attend the meetings here of the IWCS.

    Its a very good interview, I found it a while back and will have another listen.

    Certainly purchase his book and look out for a new one due out late this year. I had an extended chat with Morris at the Maleny Wood Expo and he gave me a sneak peek at his draft of the new book. Very friendly and knowledgeble gent who certainly has a passion for what he does. I think we are extreemely fortunate to have him research and produce both books as he certainly isn't doing it for the money.
