Ax Men
I'm wondering if any of you blokes have been watching Ax Men on 7mate/7plus.

Watch Ax Men: Fri 19 Nov, One weak link - PLUS7
TV doco following four american logging companies. I've watched a couple of episodes and have found it interesting. A little different to the Heron's Creek Boral crew I spent a day with a few years back.
On the show there's an 'Aqua Logging' company which salvages river timber. I guess they do this in tassy for huon. Although this 'naturally cured' timber talked about as prized on the show... I don't see how it would be special cause it's been soaking for years.
Anyway, worth watching a couple of episodes, be warned they pretty much communicate through swearing and at times seem a little acopic... but hey. interesting....

Dan, I've been watching with a keen interest aswell, OH&S gets left in the car park before they head up the mountain, some real cowboys, the father and son team "aqua logging" must run on a shoe string, everything stops working and that gets the dads blood boiling again. Its hard to compare the six logs they have on the ground worth any thing in the region of 50 grand as versus truck after truck from the other mobs.

Yeah I watch it.
That aqua logging guy has some serious temper issues and i'm suprised he's lived this long with some of the stunts he pulls.

i'm absolutely loving it.the old bloke is such a tosser, screaming and swearing.i can't figure out how the young bloke hasn't belted him yet.and running out of petrol and having to ask the camera crew for a top up had me screaming at the tele.and i thought i was rough as a weekend warrior with my lucas, but next to him i reckon i'm nearly a professional at it.as for the other crews it's fairly interesting with the way they get the logs out but give me the old bloke anyday. did you see the NEW boat he bought?

Yep i watch it too.
Love the old river bloke, but can't see how he makes a profit. He talks about the high value it is worth, but at the end of all the stuffing about, it was just a log of oregon
Glad I wasn't working on the ground when the trainie chopper pilot was lifting & unloading those logs And what about when the other pilot lifted the logs but they slipped looseNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new
