Knowing what species of Acacia you are talking about will help greatly in determining it's worth....melanoxylon?......mangium?.....aulacocarpa?....cincinnata?...to name a few, that are commonly known as Black Wattle.Log size and form will also determine the quality of timber that is milled, again influencing price.Good luck with it,all the above mentioned species are very worthy of being milled

Mangium is very common around the Atherton Tableland, paticularly around Yungaburra and surrounds...it is a true pioneer species, replacing areas once covered in rainforest, however they can grow quite huge, and can produce some nice figure Brown Salwood (Aulacocarpa) is another very common pioneer species of this area,it also produces beautifully figured grain...every chance it's Tassie Blackwood (Melanoxylon) as it grows around there as well
