Block Parquetry to get rid of.
G'day All. I have a huge amount of Hardwood block parquetry to unload.
It is all Aussie hardwood. Block size is 260mmx65mmx14mm thick.
All packed in boxes and packed on pallets. It has all been stored under cover. moisture content is 8 to 13% as per AS 2796.
Species are Blackbutt, Aussie Beech, Forest reds, Blue Gum, Tallowood, White Mahogany, Spotted Gum, Rose Gum plus other species as well.
The grade is Pioneer grade which is the High feauter grade that we produce.
This material has been acumulating for the last few years and I am running out of room. I was thinking of selling it for firewood/kindling, but thought I'd stick it on here to see if any woodies would be interested.
I'm in Grafton, so freight might be a killer.
But. if interested, PM me with a contact number and we can have a yarn.
Thanks.
P.S. Moderators. If this is in the wrong section, please move it or remove it. Whichever takes your fancy.Last edited by glock40sw; 18th March 2011 at 09:21 AM. Reason: Can't bloody spell...

Why Oh Why
Why is it that everything going cheap or to give away or even availabl is too far away?
I'm disabled so can't drive to pick it up but if you have anyone coming to Narrabri I'd love to buy some. I can't take the lot but I could use some as I'm just starting out at 62 and the only stuff I can get is Pine. Let me know if anyone is coming this way. Even Moree I could find someone to pick some up.
Kind regards Stu

Stu.
You might be in luck.
My mate at Moree is a Landscaper/tree doctor. He has some reject slings over here to pick up. He has been working last week at Narrabri, Weewaa and Burren Junction.
PM me your phone and I can get Terry to give you a ring.
Then if he can pick it up, you just let me know what you need and give him the cash.
Simple.
Thanks.Hooroo.

Hi Trevor,
As part of my reno I want to do something about the gaps (5/6mm/board) in my timber floor, boards were probably less than dry enuff when laid 50+ years ago, was thinking of doing a parquetry floor, so am interested in what u have, Can u send thru your price/species/box/m2?
Are they individual blocks?
Forest red/ blue gum/spotted gum to go with other timber but not definate .
Thanks Trev.
Pete.

Come on guys, give Trevor a hand to get this stuff moving. It must be killing him to have to sell it at firewood prices but he has gone out of his way to help me get hold of 100kgs of 5 different types of good Aussie timber. If someone had a truck and had a number of woodworkers within 100k of him. He could drive over, pick up as much as he could carry and take it home to supply all his mates. If he charged each buyer a percentage of the fuel he used they would still be buying terrific timber at a fraction of it's real cost. I'm not being paid for this ad by the way )
I can't wait for the timber to arrive but to think of the carbon tax versus the uses this timber could be used for. My wife has already asked for a coffee table made of Parquetry. She told they are selling in classy furnitur stores for thousands. Darned good return. 4 legs a good frame and multicoloured parquetry with a nice oil and you've got a family heirloom which will last for generations.
I'm certainly not stopping at 5. As soon as I save some more money I'm buying as much as I can $22.00 a box, it's digustingly cheap but an amazing bargain. Is it now I mention the free steak knives........ And that's not all.........
