Blue Gum Slabs
I'm a bit excited today. Had to share with some people that would know why I'm grinning ! Here is todays job of milling up some Blue Gum. If it's not Blue Gum please let me know, it's just what the arborist told us so we are always open to some more ID etc. Anyway, this is my hubby with a Slab. He's happy !

Good looking slab. Make sure it is sealed well at ends and for 2" of face as Blue Gum loves to split

Might also pay to seal on the face of the crotch grain as well. I cut some blue gum with similar figure and lost some of the wood due to checking and splitting around the crotch grain, particularly where the grain was fairly short and end grain exposed.
