Hi there,
This is my first post here. I'm relatively new to this woodworking business and am primarily interested in making furniture and toys for our now 1 year old daughter.
My wife found some plans for a playstand on the web. These are attached.
My questions are,
What kind of timber would be durable and workable for such a project?
Where can one source boards of such material, preferably recycled that are approx 140mm wide (about 15mm thick)?
Many thanks
Paul
btw Dulwich Hill - Sydney !
oh dear...300mm wide. So sorry.
See I am a beginner.

Cypress or hardwood.
Not the most workable timbers, but durability and workability are hard to find inm the one timber.
Forget 300mm wide boards, you need to glue or butt together 100mm or 150mm wide boards IMO
Hope this helpsRusty
