bridge timbers
I have a number of bridge timbers in my front paddock. A bloke asked if I wanted to sell some. I have had them for about ten years and they came from a pier.there aren't many bolts in them.I would like to know what they are worth. Dimensions are 340x170 approx.Lengths 3.3 - 5.2 metres approx.

You need to identify the species in order to price them.
A lot of brushbox was used for planking. It's very durable due to the high silica content and makes good parquetry. It's not highly figured by any means and so makes fairly plain furniture or turned items.Cheers, Ern

What sort of number are we talking here? If it's worth someones time and there are quite a few timbers then the stuff is highly saleable, but one or two sticks take a bit of gathering and the logistics of moving them tend to scare buyers off.
Where in Vistoria are you?
