Bridge or Wharf Timbers
Hi,
Does anyone know where to purchase affordable bridge or wharf timbers? We are owner building a post and beam mud brick house and have had very little luck achieving this.
Thanks,
Sue

Hi Sue, I have seen an ad lately for ex bridge timber, someone in Bega. I will keep looking for the add, it may have been on Ebay, if I find it I will let you know.
Cheers

Sue, if you pm me I can provide email address for a contact who does commercial wharf and bridge maintenance around Port Jackson & Port Botany. Says he has some at present, but stuff comes and goes.

Why have we got this thread in two sections? Will we ever hear from Sue again?

BT don't be so cynical. Sue will get her wharf timbers and build the house. She will take photos and post them here for us to drool over, make recommendations, criticise, etc. You'll love it.
Don't let us down Sue, I would hate for BT to publicly tell me "I told you so"!

Me? never let it be said!...but....it wouldn't be the first time...
Which begs the question ...what is it considered to an acceptable time span (etiquette wise) from asking a question to getting back and thanking the respondents?

Sorry, I rarely get time to check the computer
Thank you for replying and my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. As a working mum trying to owner build a house its a rare opportunity to check the email. Please be patient, I appreciate your time and effort in replying and I will eventually get there.
Thanks,
Sue

Sue is replying!
First, I hope I am posting this is the correct way, if not I'm sure you will let me know! Thank you for replying, I do my best to check the computer but rarely get the chance, I will eventually reply but the timeframe will vary somewhat. Currently we are dealing with council on various issues which we thought were sorted last year. I do appreciate your reply.
Thanks,
Sue

BT.
I think you may have given us all a lesson in forum etiquette. many times we are asking for help or ideas and never fully relay back to the tread , thanks or what the eventual outcome was.
Thanks for the reminder.
