Camphor in SE Qld
Anyone know of some Camphor Laurels that need removing????? We're looking for about 3 tons of camphor logs anywhere in the South East or even northern NSW. The truck (with crane) isn't 4WD so we need fairly good access to the trees or to have some means available to snig them out.
Probably seems silly to ask here where everyone else wants them too but you never know who's lurking

Their like / are weeds here in the Northern Rivers of NSW. Do you want them as growing trees or standing but dead and how big. I have plenty on the banks of the river and in and around all the gullys on my property but I'm sure you will get offers closer to home. If you can't do better email me [email protected] and I'll check out if there are suitable trees that are accessable by your vehicle.
I will be busy for the next month as I am behind with my orders following a cataract op and would only be able to point you to the tree and leave you to it.

It's a long shot but you could talk to the Toowoomba Regional Council, they're always knocking down camphors down here

i have been trying to get some for quite a while , and i contacted the toowoomba council and was told all the trees and the prunings have to go through the chipper and so not a chance of getting any , so unless the toowoomba council have changed their minds in the last 2 years it would be a waste of time contacting them , and i still have no camphor

and yeah ya gotta follow the council tree loppers and ask for chunks 'before' that hit the chipper.
just driving around toowoomba should find u some if u r willing take em away at no cost, they are everywhere, ask Ken Duncan at toowoomba woodworks he would know..
also they pull em out of the Mt warning national park and give away....
also check up Ravensbourne near the tennis courts there was a lot of old ones they were clearing for rec ground expansion etc....
