    Default Cheap Timber Offcuts

    Thanks to Aldav for posting up the link in the classifieds Pallet Lots of Timber Offcuts - Port Macquarie
    I gave them a call & took a run down to Wauchope yesterday, to this place Bago Woodworks They had sold what they'd put on pallets, but pointed to a rack of offcuts & said choose a pallet load & come get me when you're done. I backed the trailer up & started loading & when I thought I had a good amount, got him to come have a look & he said, no, take at least twice that. This is what I got for my $50. All sorts of mixed hardwood, including the burl slab.

    They hadn't heard of the forum, so I suggested that they could put future lots in the classified section.

    I don't want to rain on your parade but that burl looks 2nd rate, I will take it off your hands so you won't be embarrassed $50.....

    IMO - I might be wrong, but that burl alone is worth more than $50.
