Thread: Best, cheapest timber suppliers Brisbane

I purchased from Brittons Timber at narangba (Brisbane north) if I am making any commissioned pieces as its all kiln dried and of reasonable price. Sometimes they get a bit picky on selling split packs. Otherwise just hunt around on gumtree.

Best and cheapest usually aren't the same thing. Just sayin'

I believe Branch 95 are about to open a retail showroom in Brisbane in the next couple of weeks. That will be more best than cheapest, but you get what you pay for and all that.

I am interested too. At this stage my abilities do not require specific species but a good value source of rough hardwood timber would be great.

I'll continue to keep an eye on gumtree as recycling does have its appeal but it is hit and miss.

Natural Edge in Albion have a decent selection of slabs (mostly camphor but Jason has other stuff from time to time).

If you're specifically looking for rough sawn you could try Watt Timber. They have a huge range and they're great to deal with.

Otherwise you can also try Facebook marketplace. It's mostly slabs but you might get lucky
