    Default Cryptomeria Japonica

Hi All. I cut some Japanese Cedar logs a while back and they are just about ready to come out of strip. Average size is 450mm x 1900mm x 50mm but some are wider. I reckon there are about 50 slabs in the stack.
Anyone interested? (does $200-250 a board sound about right?)

That's $4700 to $5800 per cube which would be a bit on the exy side but I guess it all depends on the figure etc . Put up some pics.

Appreciate the feedback on the pricing guys. Is there a fair bit of this stuff around or what? I've seen a fair bit of timber but havn't really come across anything like these baby's before. Having said this I will however wilt to the pressure and set a more reasonable figure....say, $2500-$4000 p/m3. But anything of this quality over 500mm wide has to be worth more than that, surely?

I suppose market forces and supply / demand will answer this one.

    Do you have pics?

If you still have them in a months time, try $2000 per cube.

    Red face

I'm normally a picture taking freak but unfortunately don't have any of the cedar (yet). Stay tuned and I'll try back later.

Sorry about the late reply, been getting carried away in the shed with all this beautifull Melbourne weather.Try to chase the quarter when I can, 50-60% of the stuff is such.
    Adelaide? You get out much?
