Give Away Small Diameter Red Cedar Logs.
I grow Red Cedar on my farm which I take relatively seriously. I have done an inventory of all my trees and now have 744 trees registered. Unfortunately, the recent weather has been very hot and dry and some of my trees have died. When I find these dead ones, I cut them down and snig them out but really I'm only interested in logs that are greater than about 6 inches in diameter and anything smaller, I'm not interested in and these smaller logs I'm happy to give away. If anyone is interested, they can send me an email and we can arrange something. Recently I have become modern and whenever I go past one of my trees, I've been photographing it. I've put a link to the photos of these trees on another forum topic called, Inspirational Websites in the Library. I'm located between Gympie and Noosa. I know that these logs are small but there is still good wood in them for anyone who uses only small dimensions. Because the trees have died under stress, there is only a narrow sapwood band.

I would like some as well. I'd come up from Brisbane for the fresh air.

Yes, that should be good. Let me know when it suits and we can work out something. I can also put one or two flat sides on the logs if that makes it easier for you to use or even saw them up into what ever dimension.

Yes, I still have some small logs to give away like the ones in this pile. There is certainly good and beautiful wood in them but it takes some time to get it out.
