flowering gum
I have the chance to get some Flowering Gum timber (Corymbia ficifolia), soft powdering bark, is the timber any good for anything? the pieces/small logs are about 500mm across, pinkish coloured timber.
Regards
Stevo

Others mileage may vary, but I have not had any luck with the pieces that I cut. Splits, checks etc which is in stark contract to the other timbers that I have cut and treated the same way.
If I had to try it again, I would cut and mill as soon as possible. Hope this helps.
