Can't tell you about the website sorry, but it's one of my favorite timbers (that I've tried) to work with. Amazing grain, hard as a rock and can be worked and finished beautifully

Don't have any experience with the website, but the photos of the turnings appear to be from TTIT's site and don't appear to be attributed to him, which if he is not affiliated with the business is sloppy at best.

He named Acacia cambagei in 1900.

He would be a long time dead!! I guess most of us don't follow up on who tree species are named after.
I know a few and now, thanks to you, |I will add that to whatever part of the memory banks are still active!!
The descriptions on the site are very accurate. I have some gidgee here awaiting my considered attention.

Through the OP's website link I have bought 5 or 6 turning blanks for flutemaking.
The business operator was very professional and supplied many photos and detailed descriptions of the timber including any faults.
He does, it would seem, mostly deal in ironbark firewood and boutique smoking and charcoal woods - not turning timbers.
So, we'll see how the Gidgee blanks turn out... the price was $14 a kilo which is not too bad.

Gidgee Timber Products
My name is Greg and www.gidgee.net.au is my website. When it was pointed out I had used some images owned by Vern Bunn without being attributed to him, I quickly rectified the issue and hope that no undue harm was done. Without doubt, he is one of the best craftsmen I have seen.
My background is in firewood. Turning the magnificent Acacia Cambagei into charcoal seemed to undervalue it and turning a predominately waste timber into something special is my hobby.
I thank everyone commenting on this thread in advance for their remarks and observations.

Without trying to make a big deal out of it, I think you will find that more than attribution of images is required for a commercial site.
You should seek formal permission in writing otherwise Vern still has the right to sue.
Then on your website you should state "images used with permission etc . . . . "
Attribution is fine in a limited way for scholarly research purposes.

If they refuse to remove the pictures and you have a website you can always play hardball and do the following.
About 20 years ago a crackpot spiritualist organization posted my name, some of my images and data experimental data on a website in Germany to claim support for existence of aliens etc.
I sent them an email giving them 24 hours to remove these or I would publish a full denouncement of their crackpot theory and plagiaristic practices on my website. The links and images were removed in less than 5 hours.
