Here is a pic of scrub wilga, greenheart which I cut down the middle of a log.
This one had a small greenish heart. But have seen wood from old trees with a lot of mid green & gold streaked heartwood

There is another QLD "greenheart" Endiandra compressa which does have a greenish colour to it. Quite dense (995kgm3) and usually has drying flaws.

I have a small piece around somewhere.. must have a look for it.. Especially nice when figured.

edit: Have not heard or seen the Hovea sp. Can you post a pic please? Thanks
Euge - The pic in my post IS the Hovea. Pics of the Eremophila are on my website (link on the same post)

Thanks for explaining TITT. Wasn’t aware that this genus produced trees, only saw them as small shrubs. Hovea elliptica grows to 3 m I see. Interesting wood for sure. I will post a pic of the Eremophila I have with greenish wood later when home. Euge

Thanks for reminding me of that one. Have heard of it but never seen or held the wood. Would love to get a reference sample if anyone can spare some.

Unfortunately I only have a small amount of 35 x 35 shorts, not reference sample size.
