Exclamation Help Searching for Speciality Wood Samples!

I am hoping you can help me. I work for an exhibition design company in the process of redeveloping the National Museum of Australia in Canberra. What we need is some small quantities of particular wood for an interactive display that children can touch.
    we are searching for:

    Grevillia Striata (Beefwood)
    West Indian Mahogany
Western Aus. Karri (with and without bark)

Rough sawn is fine and we will only need about 1/2 meter of each one.
I hope you can help or at least know of a supplier who can!

    with thanks!

You might struggle with Beefwood...it is basically not a commercial timber any more as the big trees were all lost to agricultual uses...I used to have some really old stuff that had been radially split for fence posts nearly 90 years back.....even after that long in the ground there was still much good wood in it.

Loggerheads might be able to source you some via their contacts...http://www.loggerheads.com.au/index.htm
Ours is not to reason why.....only to point and giggle.

Yes Sonja, the wood show is the go. Malcom Ward from Boutique TImbers, Tim and Barry from Australian Timber Naturaly and a heap of others. One of them will be able to help.
