    Default Jarrah Burl

    Hi guys / Gals,

Has anybody got much of an idea on the worth of a Jarrah Burl that i know the location of.
It measures 1100 x 800 x 60 and has been in storage for a number of years. Its is in very good condition.
I will try and get a pic posted shortly but in the meantime feel free to offer your opinion.

    Cheers
    Steve

I have to agree with Auld, probably useless so if u like I will dispose of it for u. Just send it my way

seriously though cant tell u about jarrah, but the last redgum burl I purchased was slightly smaller (900x700x50) and from memory cost near the 200 mark.

Steve, dont get ripped on this...I've bought complete burls at auctions measuring at least 600 across for at least around 30 bucks and still giving me at least 3/4 slices outta it.

Mind you taking into account the size of the slice you mentioned I reckon you'd have to be prepared to part with some readies if it's even/flat.

Seen them as slices in auctions go for anything 50-150 however you need to be circumspect cos a lot of people look to make a quick quid on them.

    Good luck
    Cheers

Lots of burl is sold by weight at around $4 per kilo, so that makes it about the $150 to $200 ballpark.
