Karri timber fading colour.
As the Title suggests, could anyone enlighten me on the fading characteristics of this timber.
I am wanting to to leave some components of a building of this timber a la natural, but need
to work out a complementary colour to paint surrounding surfaces.
Does it typically go a silvery grey like a vic ash ?? if left outside to rain and sun.

It's hard to judge what will happen with timber, how much direct sunlight does it get, how damp does the soil around it, what other vegetation is growing nearby, what material is runoff water coming from etc.
In hard direct sun with dry ground and no vegetation close by it will indeed go grey like vic ash but if not all manner of colours/shades may ensure on unexposed timber due to other factors.
