Wink I know a bloke who has a brother that knows a bloke

Just some stuff I picked up recently. The redgum is tough as... well It's bloody tough. It's an old stringer post from his fence.

The purple stuff is well... nice after it's cleaned up.

The best way to describe it is .. Do you know when they say that they throw "Oak chips" into wine to get that Oak flavour. Well what they forget to mention is that the "chips" are over six foot long. Thye are about 20mm thick and vary in width. So the purple is wine stain  .

No, the colour didn't soak in more than about a millimeter, however most of them have some bowing so by the time they are flattened out they're maybe about 10 - 15 mill or there abouts.

BTW there are two lots there, the purple ones are not yet cleaned up.
