Default Look what followed me home this time.

I got a call the other day asking if I wanted some timber. Sure I said, what have you got?
    RG 1.jpgRG 2.jpgRG 3.jpg

The poor old trailer got a workout again.
Heaps of Redgum slabs and some big boards with a smattering of 4x4 and 5x5 posts.
Also half a dozen silky oak boards.
Apparently cut and stacked in an old shearing shed 16 years ago.
The previous owner asked that I machine up enough to make him a table and I could have the rest.
I already have a bit of redgum from the recycled house frames I got a while ago so some redgum furniture is in my future I think.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

I thought they were your undies.

For a score like that, I reckon I'd tie your undies on too.

Edit: errr, to the trailer, that is.

The political leanings of my timber is neither here nor there. But there is quite a bit of silky mixed in there.
I cleared room in the garage yesterday and unloaded. It was thirsty work and I needed much hydration afterwards but there is some nice timber there.
By the time I pick out the clearer boards to make the table for the original owner I will still have plenty of usable timber left but probably wont get too many long lengths out of it.
Can't complain for the price. I did have a bit of a Oh S@&t moment when the trailer jumped off the ball on the way home. I had the chains crossed and stopped straight away so no damage done.
Luckily I had the tools in the car still so made a few adjustments and got home with no further incidents.

The silky is boards around 1.5 " thick and 4 - 5" wide. It's all around 3 meters long.

I would think because you live in Sydney and not Singleton. It would be quite a drive.
