Macrocarpa
Anybody use macrocarpa for indoor furniture much in Australia? Im starting to mill it more regularly and reckon it would make a decent cabinet timber. I usually only see it in outdoor stuff and sleepers etc. It sometimes gets Birdseye and quilted figure too. https://www.instagram.com/p/Byjjlv0A...=1nb0k2axqpnqh

I know of a few cabinet makers using it here in the Yarra Valley and I’m not far off from using it to clad my kitchen.
Cabinets already done in melamine, next step is benchtops in Southern Mahogany, then start on panels and drawer/cupboard fronts in Macrocarpa.
Care needs to be taken working it, as it can be brittle but comes up beautifully once it’s finished.Cheers
