Murray Pine
G'day all,
Im new to the forum and to the timber hobby.
I have some Murray pine logs that I am going to mill into slabs.
Just wondering what it is good for? Possible uses.

Like most Australian cypress', Murray Pine (Callitris gracilis subsp. murrayensis) is good for quite a lot. Timber framing, outdoor furniture, floorboards, box work, turning (although the knots make things interesting).........
Ours is not to reason why.....only to point and giggle.

Thanks Silent,
I am hoping to use the slabs for an outdoor bench and table. Any ideas on the best way to finish it? Oil, wax...

As per SBD.
I love Australian Cypresses and think that they are a highly underated and undervalued timber.
