Mystery beams
Want to confirm the species of these beams. They were rescued from a burn pile after a demolition.
Originally thought they were Jarrah but it looks like Marri.
They are destined for a table top.

Managed to wrestle a piece through the planer today.
Just poured a little metho on it to bring out grain.
Should still make a nice table if I can salvage enough around the splits and cracking. Otherwise I think I have found my new work bench top.

fill the cracks with tinted epoxy resin and make features out of them

I'd be tempted to texture it with a wire brush.
