Plywood
Hi,
Can anyone tell me if structural plywood is suitable for staining and varnishing. I want to use this due to it's thickness, but not sure if it is suitable.
Thanks

Plywood comes in grades A, B, C, D where A is high quality down to D which can have surface defects.
Structural ply is normally CD. The C side can have defects which are filled.
But.. If you are prepared to live with that it can be stained / varnished.
Furniture grade ply in higher grades and thicker plys would also cover your needs.

Thanks for that,.. I had asked at Bunnings, but wasnt sure if he knew what he was saying, or just winging it. Your extra info about the grades helps too.
Cheers.
