Purple gidgee?
Hi all,
I'm hunting for some purple gidgee/purple heart wattle/Acacia carneorum pieces and hoping someone on here might be able to help me out?
Ideally i'd like 'log'/branch pieces so that i can use them for oyster veneering, but i'm interested in most sizes above pen blanks (which are just a bit too small for me to use for this)
Cheers,
Damien

Getting A.carneorum is dam hard being very protected. Old timer stocks are basically the only way these days or grow your own.
Be prepared for a very high price and a lot of misidentified acacias being sold as A.carmeorum.
Good luck with it.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

Hi Damien, I believe I can help you with this ('old timer stock') and the another species or two you are looking for, small quantities of course.
Sent you a message in reply.
As dai sensei says its rare now, protected and misunderstood / confused with other "gidgee". Contact me as suggested.
regards, Euge
